There were 2 interviews: Human Resource interview and a interview with the department employees and manager. The Human Resource interview was standard. Just enough questions to see if you would not be a social/psychological threat and that your background matched your resume. The interview with the actual department team was great. Fun group that made the position seem exciting. They wanted to really know me as a potential candidate and seemed highly interested in what I could provide. They also gave detailed description of the tasks and expectation of the position.

A contractor will reach out to you first and a zoom interview will be scheduled followed by an in person interview if you're considered for the position, For this role contractors are usually hired first and then converted over to direct hires. Being converted over takes almost two years.
