I applied via Indeed to their job post. I was contacted a few days later through the platform, not by email. They sent me a list of questions such as:
- "What are your salary expectations for this position? Please provide a specific range and do not put negotiable."
- "Have you managed the Accounts Receivable process before?"
- "Can you describe your approach to managing email, phone calls, and scheduling for your Manager/Executive?"
After answering, I received a calendar link to schedule a call. When I joined the scheduled meeting, I was surprised to find out it was a non-video call, something not mentioned beforehand. This lack of transparency was a red flag. The interview itself was average, and the interviewer was not welcoming, making it feel like they had already decided on another candidate.
After the interview, I sent a thank you note via the email address provided in the calendar invite but received no response. I followed up via the platform a week later, as advised during the interview, and resent my thank you note. It took several days to get a response, which ultimately came on the weekend, informing me that I had been rejected.
