      Entretien

      I applied on LinkedIn and went through 3 rounds of interviews - recruiter, hiring manager, and full team panel. All employees were easy to talk to and knowledgeable. The company has some very progressive workplace management practices and seems to truly value work-life balance. I appreciated their dedication to advanced uses of instructional technology. I would suggest the company improve their HR processes as they relate to applicants. There was a lag in communication between interviews, which made me wonder if I was being ghosted by the company or forgotten about by the recruiter. I would suggest that as AMP grows, they invest in an applicant tracking software (and perhaps full scale HCM software) to reduce the administrative burden on the recruiter as she reaches out to applicants after interviews. Additionally, during my final interview, the panel communicated that there “may” be a project or additional interview if I were to progress to next step. This uncertainty about next steps gave the impression that the team was unsure about the desired skillset required for the position they were filling. I would suggest that HR leadership assist teams with writing concise requisitions and creating defined, standardized interview processes. This would ensure a more streamlined interview process for applicants. In addition, an experienced HR Business Partner (if available) may want help teams define their organizational needs prior to creating a requisition. This may help to reduce the hiring timeline and capture a more accurate candidate pool. Overall this was a positive interview experience and I hope as AMP grows, they can establish a more streamline interviewing and hiring process.

      Hi there! My name is India Bastien and I am the People Operations Generalist for AMP Creative. I oversee all things HR, People Ops, Recruiting, and Employee Development. Your review was spot on! As a one-person HR Department, I wanted to respond and thank you for your review, all of your suggestions and observations are very true to what our process looks like currently and those improvements are already in the works! We have added another person to our People Ops Team who is currently being trained up to support other People Ops admin duties so we can enhance and improve the recruiting process. People Ops has just recently implemented this new recruitment process and already is reviewing requisitions and creating defined, standardized interview processes. People Ops is also currently shopping for an ATS because we recognize that the Candidate Experience has some holes in it (such as the example you gave of not knowing if you had been ghosted or not- eek! that is a horrible feeling we for sure do not want that to be part of our process). I wanted to make sure I sent a thank you for your review since it only reinforces the areas that we need to improve and grow - that all said we are so glad to hear that your experience was a good one despite our shortcomings while we grow our team and onboard an ATS platform that will reduce the tedious and labor of recruiting manually.
