Ghosted by hiring team after six hours of interviews and a two-month process. The conversation between myself and the recruiter was fantastic until I completed the interview process and it was time to receive a final decision. It has been nearly two months since my final interview and there’s been no response from the direct hiring team. The interviewer promised to get back to me with final insights, but never did. By the time the cycle had been completed and I asked (multiple times) for feedback - I had accepted a role elsewhere. AMD originally was my premier choice, but this interview process has turned me off from the company. Candidates have stuff going on as well, and turning heel after hours of preparation and interviewing is a surefire way to make sure candidates don’t entertain the prospect of working with you again.
The interview process was a hiring screen, hiring manager interview, hiring panel interview, an interview with a director, and an interview with a VP. I received positive feedback throughout the process and was excited to potentially receive an offer. After a few weeks, the recruiter let me know the team had gone ghost and wasn’t seriously considering my candidacy anymore.
