      Entretien

      Fairly normal interview process, first introductions and then a question about my work so far and my motivation for applying to this job. Then more detailed, specific questions focussed on communications and press experience. However, it was quite stiff and impersonal. Gave off quite an inflexible vibe, even mildly controlling/toxic. The colleagues did not have a nice vibe amongst each other either. In the end I emailed them telling them I didn't see a fit, and they didn't even bother responding.

      We regret that the interview did not meet the candidate’s expectations and appreciate the feedback. Throughout the recruitment process we have received many highly qualified applications, and the vast majority of our interviews were constructive and pleasant. This case contrasted with the other interviews we conducted for this position in that we as interviewers perceived a lack of genuine interest in the role and limited preparation on the candidate’s part. The candidate's perception "I didn't see a fit" therefore is shared on our end. We furthermore felt that the interview was less personal and more superficial than the others and that it did not reflect the collaborative and supportive environment we strive to maintain at ALLEA. On this note, we find it inappropriate to draw conclusions about our team dynamics from a single interview. We apologise for any delay in responding to email correspondence. It is, however, worth noting that the candidate’s rejection email reached us on a Friday and that a response was planned on the following Monday. However, after receiving the negative public feedback still during the weekend, we decided to reconsider our approach. We take all inputs seriously and are committed to improving our recruitment practices. We thank the candidate once again for the feedback, even though we feel it does not fully reflect reality.
