I applied for the Quant Trading internship the prior year and had passed the mental math challenge, a technical phone call, and then the final video call. I believe that is why this year, when applying for the Quant Dev intern role, I was immediately given a phone screen/coder pad. I thought I had done really well - I answered the question correctly and the interview ended 10 minutes early - but was told within a week that I would not advance. I'm not really sure what went wrong, but it may be that they did not like something on the resume, or perhaps of my interviews the year prior.
