I found this position on the university listing and applied for it online. Received an email with a coding challenge .The first step was a Hacker Rank Challenge. It a 2 hour challenge with 4 questions.

Applied online through their website. Got an email couple weeks later asking to schedule a technical phone interview. The interview mainly just consisted of questions related to memory allocation, threading, and parallel computing. No questions based on any particular programming language. I think they're mainly just looking for people that understand computational efficiency.
