I was contacted by a third-party recruiter through LinkedIn and had a brief call where he couldn’t provide any details or answer my questions about a position with a healthcare company I’d previously worked for. He gave me a generic project management template but couldn’t elaborate on the role or department. An interview was scheduled with Ahead, and I expected to receive more information about the job, but that didn’t happen. I also thought this interview would be a preliminary step before speaking with the healthcare company’s department head, but it wasn’t. During the Ahead interview, my first question was about more details on the position, and all I was told was that it involved IT Network Infrastructure, that's it. When I asked about the type of networks, they admitted they had no idea. The two women interviewing me asked standard project management questions, and I found out I wouldn’t be interviewing with the healthcare client. Additionally, the recruiter had mentioned W2 employment, but it seems they operate as a 1099 company. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, as both the third-party recruiter and Ahead were vague and unhelpful, leaving me feeling unprepared. I’m not interested in this kind of company; it’s definitely a red flag.
