      Entretien

An unprofessional experience lacking in equity... I will admit, I started the interview process with APCH with positive vibes and was optimistic about the conversations and the culture of the organization. This changed, however, following my first two rounds of interviews. After the initial phone screen, I had a Zoom call with the supervisor for this role and thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. I was also told that they would take their time finding the right candidate. About a week later, I found out I had made it to the final round interview, which would be in-person at their offices...Great! I received that email on a Monday and they asked for my availability for that week and the following week. I already had time off schedule for that Thursday and Friday and was going to be traveling for work the following Monday through Thursday. I shared this and that the only day within that timeframe I could meet would be the following Friday, still within that 2-week window. I heard back 2 days later that Friday wouldn't work for their team and they were unsure if interviews would be conducted past that 2-week period. That messaging seemed a little off to me since I was told they would take their time with the interview process. I went ahead and shared my availability for the following week, which was very flexible. After not hearing anything for the next 6 days, I followed up. The next day, I received an email saying they had been conducting final round interviews during that 2-week period and would be moving forward with another candidate. After being told how equitable the organization is, and how equitably and thoughtful they would treat the interview process, I didn't get a chance to partake in a final interview which I earned. The lack of responsiveness during this period made me feel that my schedule was an issue from the start and whether they admitted or not, would negatively impact my candidacy. If their need to fill the position was more urgent than they let on, I wish I would have known that in advance. I feel that my time was wasted and feel cheated out of an opportunity to see the interview process through to the end, even if they ultimately decided to go with another candidate. If this is the level of "equity" they display in an interview, I'm skeptical of the communal, nurturing culture they preached throughout the first 2 interviews.

      Question 1

Very standard fundraising interview questions - Why I'm interested in role/organization, how I stay organized
