      Entretien

I connected with the hiring manager on Linkedin. We set up a quick call the next day and he asked me to get on a call with someone else on the team later that day. I had a call with the recruiter a few days later, where I shared my compensation and expectations. None of which was flagged as an issue. The hiring manager - not the recruiter - guided me through the interview process, including meeting with people on the marketing team, product team, CRO and CEO. Midway through the process, the hiring manager told me he saw my salary expectations and he thought it was too low and I should negotiate for $20k MORE. I thought "this is awesome, he really has my back!" After all of these interviews, I was so excited about the role and company. The hiring manager told me they'd be making me an offer. Then he called and apologized for saying I could negotiate for $20K more and wanted to see if I'd be ok with $10K more than what I asked for. It was more than what I asked for, so of course, it was good! I started making plans to accept this offer, leave my company, etc. Then radio silence. After asking for an update, I got a call 3 days later from the hiring manager saying they ran the numbers on my comp and the best they could do was offer me $20K LESS than what I wanted. It was a complete shock. Why wasn't this mentioned when I spoke to recruiting? Why is there a $30k swing?! Why am I getting the bait and switch? Then, even worse, I was told that I could not negotiate this number and I have been met with a cold shoulder in the two weeks since I was told they were making me an offer. A few takeways for anyone reading this. 1. Recruiting was not involved in my process (except for my 1 30 minute call with them). Based on other reviews, it's clear that their recruiting team doesn't have time to deal with candidates (makes me wonder what their job even is). 2. They are willing to be extremely shady and rude to candidates. Interviewing is a two-way street and it was clear that they have no problem trampling over people and that's not a place I want to work at. 3. They have no problem wasting time (both yours and their own). And for that reason, I would not encourage anyone I know to engage with them on any level. After 6+ weeks of wasting my time, I finally emailed them that I would not accept an offer at any compensation level. My hope is that they read these reviews and rethink their hiring processes for the betterment of all future candidates.

      Question 1

There were a number of questions around sales enablement. They're growing their sales team a lot and worried about onboarding everyone.
