If you play the game and say the right things, even if you lack the skills, you'll get promoted. Psychological safety is nonexistent. People are pitted against each other, burned out, and thrown under the bus regularly. Political maneuvering is the real job. Public-facing culture is a facade. Internally, it’s chaos masked with buzzwords like “innovation” and “self-management,” but most decisions come from the top in reactive waves. Operational dysfunction: Strategic planning is ignored until it becomes an emergency. Long-term thinkers are seen as barriers to speed, even when the “speed” leads to constant rework. No accountability: Poor performers are protected if they’re politically aligned. Meanwhile, teams who deliver results are under-resourced and pushed to exhaustion. Agents vs. Employees divide: Agents are treated like royalty, while employees, who build the infrastructure and hold the business together, are dismissed as overhead.
