Avantages

Benefits are competitvie (ie: Payroll health insurance deductions are minimal). Depending on the type of work one does (and manager), "flex time" is available for many. Its a great place to look for stable employment. Tuition reimbursement is available for full time and part time associates ($5,000 for F/T associates, $2,500 for P/T associates). There is a 401(k) $1 per $1 company match up to six percent of your contribution to your 401(k). An employee stock purchase plan is available for those who wish to participate (up to 15% of your salary). A year end bonus exists, however, none exists for 2009.

Inconvénients

Career advancement/promotions are very hard to come by for many departments.THis is by far my biggest concern with the company. My department head will look to find outside job applicants to fill in higher positions - eliminating the slight possibility of an internal promotion. This is very frustrating for many employees within the department especially when many of us have invested so much into our job and the manager's goals. In addtion, annual raises are an embarrassment to the Company. Many employees look for other opportunities outside of the company to find an appropriate amount of compensation to match their skills.

Avantages

The company culture, people, and work environment are great. The pay and benefits are above average except they are skimpy with PTO.

Inconvénients

The workload is insane. (I work in IT.) Projects are promised based on what will make the managers look good, not on what is realistic. We never have time to do anything right, so we frequently have to make time to do it over. And that time comes out of our personal lives, those of us who have managed to hang on to one at all. We knew going in it wasn't a 40 hour week, but it has gone from the occasional 45-50 hour week to 10 x 6 or 8 x 7 as the norm, and we are on salary. We get resources too late in the project to train them to be much good, and training them takes time away from the time we can spend doing everything because we have no time to train!
