      Avantages

      In recent months, the company underwent a significant reorganization that initially stirred some uncertainty. However, we're starting to see the positive impacts of the changes. The introduction of a new tech stack has improved collaboration and independence among squads. One reassuring factor is that the compensation structure remains strong, ensuring employees are fairly rewarded. Additionally, the organization supports a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility without pressuring employees to return to the office. In summary, the recent organizational changes are proving beneficial, with improvements in technology, collaboration, and work flexibility. Btw. you will find a lot of 1-star reviews here. Most of them are from people who were affected by reorg.

      Inconvénients

      Despite addressing significant aspects of the tech infrastructure, there remains a lingering challenge in the form of technical debt, which is being slowly tackled. Even after fixing the main components, the existence of residual technical debt suggests an ongoing need for systematic approaches to address and mitigate these issues. Allocating resources and prioritizing tasks to systematically reduce technical debt could enhance the overall stability and efficiency of the technology stack. Moreover, the complexity of the product, especially from the technical perspective, adds an additional layer of intricacy to daily operations. Dealing with a complex product requires a high calibre of engineers, which is not easy to find.

      Avantages

      Nothing related to UnderwriteMe, only the parent company whose benefits filtered down.

      Inconvénients

      Where do I start. Majority of the senior team do not have any idea how to run a product engineering organisation. Constant change in priorities, nothing delivered of any note. Constant change in senior team members with no improvement. Non-existent strategy. Constant surveys but nothing done with them. Management do not listen to employees. Constant in-fighting. Terrible blame culture, each silo protecting their own and blaming the other team. Complete lack of accountability. Data driven and metric driven, unless you are management who impose changes on 'gut feel'.

      Its all good; parent company has deep pockets nothing matters too much work life balance, many meeting to attend you may never actually do any work
