Avantages
- Structured curriculum that is written in-house - Well-stocked pantry - $100 stationery voucher annually - Classrooms are equipped with the necessary technology (projector, audio system) for lessons and materials like whiteboard markers - Relatively manageable class headcount - Interactions with my students, building rapport with them, helping them to achieve their personal best and seeing them grow throughout the terms/years - Relatively flexible weekday morning hours - Supportive academic team - Friendly colleagues
Inconvénients
- Marking takes up a lot of time outside of lesson preparation and teaching hours - Working weekends and two late weekdays that end at 9.30pm… must be prepared to sacrifice family time and social life/manage your own expectations as the private education industry requires one to work weekends and after typical school hours - Challenging to take leave; first come first served basis and must book way in advance (9+ months ahead)
