A great place for employees. They provide part-time benefits, excellent training, wonderful communication, and a positive working environment. No fuss, no nonsense retail job that really does take good care of it's employees. Insane discount, friendly atmosphere, purportedly understanding management, great, forward-thinking "foundation principles,' overall wonderful philosophy and atmosphere.
Inconvénients
As many have said before - still a corporate-minded retail job. Focus on profit and selling above employee needs, putting company first, despite company propaganda to the contrary. Very, very, anti-union, which is off-putting, but of course not surprising. Typical retail environment - inflexible management, corporate propaganda at every turn, coworkers with an inflated sense of the importance of their job (especially management), bad schedule, favoritism, and no perspective whatsoever of the place of the Container Store in the natural order of life.
