Avantages
Freedom to do your job but commission only and termite and pest control are seasonal. You can make good money in season but in the winter you must be creative.
Inconvénients
Commission only on all sales. Must use your own car and pay your gas. You are compensated for gas but it is based on your sales. Cold calling is required. With the economic situation getting very tight people are trying to cut back and cut corners and doing many things themselves. Pest control is one of these things. Also, many people do not see a termite inspection and protection plan as a necessity. Terminix will hire and train but only the very best sales people can make it through the winter months.
