Avantages
- Almost everyone is fantastic to work with/for. A lot of genuinely nice people work at Target, and it's overall a supportive/positive working environment. - A lot of talent and motivated people, which shows - because Target has been doing very well financially for a few years now. - Good benefits, pay and perks. - Decent opportunities for advancement/career changes
Inconvénients
- Like at many companies, it's possible to get pigeonholed - Poor performers are sometimes left in place too long - Overall the company has taken a VERY hard turn-left politically during the last several years. While still claiming to hear everyone's voice and that everyone is important - it's not really true. Depending on your personal positions, you may or may not see this as a con; however, I think it may bite Target to be so openly political in the long-run. I've been in large company meetings where there was open dissent/protest/pressure being put on leaders, just because some team members didn't think leadership was going far enough with censorship of a book. In another case there was protest that the company didn't actively support defunding the police. In short, a bit of a mob culture has developed, and there is a significant feeling/pressure to say and support an invisible list of "correct" things whether you agree with every single point or not.
