Avantages

The projects at Springthrough are challenging and use modern technologies. Most colleagues are smart, ambitious and eager learn new things. Springthrough does a good job of hiring junior level talent - the talent acquisition process at Springthrough is top notch. The culture committee does an awesome job at planning events.

Inconvénients

If you're a Senior coming into Springthrough you'll be doing junior work for a while. Other Seniors make you feel unwelcome. It appears to take a long time to get before you get a sense of ownership on a project, this could be a result of constant turn over. It must be Springthrough policy to not let you interface directly with clients, all communication goes through a Project Manager. Project Managers have too much control over client strategy, and seem to only care about billing - seems to be a disconnect between PMs and Devs.

Avantages

The office is decent. That is about it.

Inconvénients

Micromanagement is the norm, guidance is inconsistent, and expectations are unclear until they’re enforced retroactively. Onboarding is essentially nonexistent—you’re pushed into delivery with no runway. The codebase leans on quick band-aids over root-cause fixes, with “half-done is done” shipping practices and minimal documentation. QA is superficial, firefighting is frequent, and technical debt keeps growing while refactoring is perpetually “next quarter.” Decisions change often, feedback skews critical over constructive, and there’s little time to actually improve.
