Avantages
You work with a lot of good people, unfortunately most of them are desperately looking for another place to work.
Inconvénients
Terrible leadership and toxic environment. Our entire team was trying hard to make sense out of the frequent mixed messages and lack of communication. We had 3 staff meetings in less than 12 months, and each was only about 15 - 20 minutes long. Our area was a revolving door, with people coming and going every few months. Most people who left did so without another job, despite a poor job market. They call themselves "Agile", but they have no idea what it means to be Agile. In reality, they are using a version of Waterfall methodology that I have not seen in over 20 years. They use Jira in a very unconventional way that won't make sense to anyone new to the company. They have few standardized toolsets. We started with MS Project v2016, moved to Smartsheet, moved to Asana with limited access, moved to MS Planner with limited functionality, all in less than one year. Then the leadership was confused about why the project schedule was being tracked in Excel. There are no process or procedure documents, no one knows when/where/how to submit intake requests for stakeholders, yet the stakeholders won't do work without one. If you do figure out how to do it you face long intake request forms with obscure questions that no one can answer. You are required to be on site 4 days/week, unless you are one of the many "chosen ones" who are allowed to be fully remote for whatever reasons. My boss was a bit of a bully and argumentative with team members. He was sometimes belittling and demeaning, leaving people to feel like they were worthless. One lady on the team refused to be alone in the room with him and finally requested that an HR rep be present for every meeting. Onboarding was one of the worst experiences I've had in over 20 years of IT. No one there to meet me on my first day. No Laptop for a few days. No introduction to the team. No welcome email with helpful information or links. No tools loaded and no idea how to load them. No handoff from anyone. When I finally received a laptop it was used and in poor condition. I had frequent, ongoing issues with blue screens and other things, yet they would not provide a replacement. The tech team reloaded drivers multiple times, like one more time would fix the issues. I finally stopped trying because it was easier to simply reboot and wait for the next crash. Like the four people before me, I finally decided to leave at less than 12 months, without another job, because it was impacting my health.
