Avantages
I worked at Scopic for about 2.5 years. This is a remote job, so working hours are very flexible. You can take day-off in the middle of the week in case you need one and work out it on weekends. All time you worked you should log into time tracking system. Nobody will dig why you have logged 1 hour more than it was estimated, so generally, you can work in your own comfortable pace but with schedule in mind. Payments are always on time and accurate - have never had any payment problems or delays. If you need any device for testing or equipment - company will buy it for you. Projects are quite good, usually requiring some domain-specific knowledge, such as computer vision, or dsp or math. Some projects may contain (scientific)research components, which is also quite interesting and you can learn a lot. Also, another good thing is that you can communicate with CEO and management directly and they usually helps you to resolve your problems.
Inconvénients
Sometimes it can be difficult to maintain work-life balance while working remotely, but this stands pretty much for each remote job.
