Avantages
Being a technology enthusiast, one of the coolest things about working for Scality is being in the right place at the right time. These guys have spent years developing an awesome product, and now is the time for it to shine. The company is small enough for an individual to make a clear and definite impact on its success, but large enough to know that the office doors won't be locked when I show up for work tomorrow. Scality has done a great job managing hiring - the atmosphere around the office is great, people get along, and there is always someone willing to spend some time sharing their knowledge with an impromptu whiteboard session. The culture is diverse, and having offices in SF, Paris, and DC is a huge perk. I haven't personally encountered any weird corporate politics like you see in the bigger storage shops, training opportunities are there for the asking, and there seems to be a history of promoting from within.
Inconvénients
Let's be honest - it's a small company facing a huge opportunity. There is a lot of work to do. Working here means wearing many hats and being prepared to do more than you might be able to get away with at a larger company. I knew this going in to the role and was ready for it, so it isn't necessarily a con.
