Avantages
Used to have many, but they're really great at taking away every perk/benefit one by one. Can't think of a single pro of working here now. If you're thinking of taking a job here, I would just disregard any reviews pre-2025. The benefits mentioned have all been cut, and it is expected there will be more.
Inconvénients
Where to start? As of today, April 15, 2025, American Rheinmetall Vehicles announced they are significantly cutting PTO, paid holidays, and 401k matching. They are also ceasing 9/80 schedules for employees, on top of many other things such as no PTO rollover. These changes today alone are very representative of the company. A lot of the benefits they provided and are taking away are literally FREE for the company to offer. They're making employees lives worse just for the fun of it? They offer a laughable 2 weeks of maternity leave - absolutely insultingly low, and doesn't come close to defense industry standard, or really any industry. Definitely doesn't come close to parent company (up to 2 years). You're honestly better off working for a grocery store if being there for your family is important to you. When recruiting, they advertise having the week between Christmas and New Years off as an employee perk. What they DON'T tell you, is that you are required to use your own PTO. You have no choice, because the office closes. So there goes a huge chunk of your PTO for the year. Just to be clear, many many companies offer that week off, but I've never heard of it coming out of employees leave bank by force. It's not a perk, it's a con, and is shady to be advertising to candidates. They do not offer raises to internal candidates. They say they offer Tuition Assistance, but the fine print is that is only for a Bachelor's, but a pre-requisite for every job here is you must have a Bachelor's, so it's a fake benefit. Offer letters are deceptively worded, leading you to believe the bonuses are much better than they are. Top performers can expect to see about a 10% annual bonus, not up to 200% as written. I know many colleagues who took a lower salary expecting the bonus to make for it, only to be disappointed. You can tell they're running low on money, and the cuts are all against their people, not against their operations or programs. Unsurprisingly, we are beginning to see rapid turnover, which only adds to the cons of working here.
