Avantages

I love the fact I get to work remote, structuring my day the way that works best for me which allows me to be entrepreneurial and nobody looking over your shoulder. I love the autonomy, and I'm okay w/ the expectations that come w/ that because I've worked in origination at two other shops. Collect a lot of data on companies which is great for reference as a deal guy, CEO mentors/grooms the team, diverse mandates allow for nice deal scope. You learn a lot about software, and how to best move a deal through a pipeline. Most importantly, you learn how to think about a business in the same nature as a CEO/investor. There's also plenty of room to grow on merit (this is a production based business). There's no corporate political bureaucracy. Your coworkers are great, like partners all working toward a common goal. The CEO knows his stuff, so this has been a great opportunity to learn from somebody w/ experience.

Inconvénients

Everything is fluid because the company is still young, so being able to deal w/ constantly changing processes, and sometimes figuring out how to handle old processes that sometimes put clamps on productivity. Lack of structure around some HR processes like payment disbursement. There was great talent brought in recently that's currently working on solving these issues, and workflow is already getting easier/smoother.
