It seems to me like I am watching a typical high school movie where the popular kids rule the school, and the uncool kids … well you know how the movie ends for those who don’t sit at the cool kids' table. Most likely, you are the uncool kid in this movie. If not now, probably some time in the future.
If the uncool kid speaks on fair treatment, the cool kids have the power to find fault with you, instill fear without listening to your side of the story, to the point where you question your own capabilities and value as a human being.
It also appears that the toxicity trickles down the pyramid, as you find many who were cool with you prior, are also now criticizing everything you do, even when you are not trying to find fault with any party. The uncool kids are then forced (through unjust ways) to “fall back in line”. If you don’t, then out the pyramid you go.
