Most project work was fine. Clients were usually good to work with. Coworkers were sharp and easy to get along with.

The owner was dishonest. If he could find a way to avoid paying someone, he would do it. Salaries were far from competitive. Paychecks were frequently late. Bonuses were late or not paid. Projects that the owner would get involved in didn't go as smoothly as they should, but that wasn't something that happened frequently. Inappropriate conversations would once in a while cross the line. No clear direction for the company. Plans would be made that clearly weren't thought through. No follow through. Plans to improve the company would be discussed and nothing would ever come from it. If something was implemented, it would disappear soon after. Unusually high turnover which affected morale. The company was unable to grow beyond a handful of people. Despite claims that the company was national, it was rarely larger than 8 people in a Philadelphia suburb working on local projects. Most projects were solo staff aug projects - which can be a pro or con depending on the individual employee. Projects felt repetitive.

Coworkers were knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Fun contest to spur ideas for new projects -- however, owner took the ideas as his own when presenting to clients.

The owner was a bully. Frequently cursed at employees and checks were late. Would lash out if you disagreed with him. Throw an employee out after giving notice without letting him get his jacket. Another employee broke company property. Very hostile environment.
