Avantages

I worked at RCTS for two years and I can honestly say that I enjoyed my experience and this opportunity led me to acquire my dream job in research. Management was very understanding and willing to work with me while I was taking some classes. The work environment is pretty laid back and the job itself is not stressful or overwhelming. The owner is the best! He is always super encouraging, friendly, and always willing to listen to his employees. He makes sure his employees are happy and really seems to want the best for everyone, which is rare to find in some work settings. Also, they were in the process of changing a few things, like salary and creating new positions, durimg my last month so i would disregard the negative reviews being left on here by previous employees.

Inconvénients

Some might say the pay is a con, but for an entry level position, I think it’s reasonable. There were some issues that were a bit frustrating when it came to other employees, like some people not getting up as often to attend the participants but at any job you'll have similar issues. Overall, its a great job that will give you many opportunities career wise.

The only pro that I can think of is the awesome people that I worked with here. There is camaraderie amongst techs because we're all miserable together. The positive ratings on this site are fake. It's obvious because of how similar they all sound. And it's particularly obvious (and funny) to me because I worked here long enough to know how sad and pathetic it actually is.

Inconvénients

I'm not kidding when I say the company is a joke. Think of every bad office stereotype imaginable and they will all be represented here: condescending boss, entitled manager, dumb rules created simply to control employees, awful pay, hostile environment, etc. On top of that, there is zero satisfaction from the job because the studies are all nonsense. We would literally use the instruments to get whatever "data" we thought made sense. Oh, your skin is drier after using this lotion? Let me just remeasure it 10 times in different spots until I get a different result. Sounds legit. Everything is guessed or estimated or simply made up.

First of all, thank you for your comments. We appreciate being able to know people’s thoughts. We would like to confirm that we absolutely do have great employees, as mentioned in this review. All employees, including technicians, are hired specifically because of their strong qualifications for the roles they seek. The goal is to start them in a position where they can not only use but build upon their qualifications and hopefully expand to greater responsibilities within the organization. Our hires are not only talented, but diverse: over many years, many of our employees have been female and of every ethnic background. As of today, 68% of the company is female and 41% of employees are of various non-Caucasian ethnicities. We warmly welcome all prospective candidates who meet our educational and skills requirements for each position. And we believe in rewarding you for a job well done. In the first 3 months of 2018 alone, we have promoted 3 employees for outstanding performance to mid- and upper level positions within the company. We also strive to engage our employees on a continuing basis. Because we are a smaller company, we try to maintain a casual and open-door dialogue policy to employees. However, we have also introduced some “big-box” approaches such as confidential employee satisfaction surveys, one-on-one and group meetings with employees and periodic follow-ups on previously given suggestions. We routinely request the input of all employees on everything from minor ideas to impactful decisions. Not all ideas and suggestions can be implemented, but we give all employees a forum to speak and try to make the decisions that ensure the fairest results for all. And we employ professional HR services to monitor the industry and inform us on keeping our wages competitive with other companies of our size, scope and specific duties. All technical employees receive specific training on procedures required for each study and are monitored by our Quality Assurance department to validate that procedures are being performed correctly. As part of the open dialogue mentioned above, any questions or concerns about how procedures are performed should be addressed with management or the company owner. This way, all employees can be fairly trained, fairly corrected if a procedure isn’t being followed properly, or fairly clarified if there are any misunderstandings. We are sorry you didn’t have the best experience working with us. We continuously strive to improve and be a great place for our employees to work.
