Avantages

* Leadership cares for their employees as an individuals professionally. When you join as a new employee, you are invited for a one on one breakfast with various leadership figures to get to know each other. They ask about your professional ambitions and what they can do to help you achieve it. * Leadership cares for their employees as an individuals personally. They have always been honest and direct with me and offered their personal help when I was struggling in my personal life. A bunch of real human beans. * Everyone here is intelligent and highly motivated. There is no shortage of high-level discussions and you will be growing in multiple dimensions. * Fun work culture, filled with happy hours, a stocked bar, snakes and more!

Inconvénients

I joined QuickFrame at a tumultuous time for engineering and I saw certain problems. The organizational structure in the product engineering team was not set up with the proper buffers, support and development practices. I was worried at first but with the advent of our new VP of Engineering, the law was laid and it's safe to say everyone is now more than happy and looking forward to the future. It's really amazing the effect one person can have on a department.

Avantages

Honestly none. It's a terrible business model and preys on people desperate for work.

Inconvénients

They don't pay anything upfront unless you pay a penalty (they take a percentage of your fee) from the total, so you're essentially loaning them money for the duration of the project, which could be months. Budgets are insanely low and they expect you to pay your crew garbage rates to compensate. The project managers do literally nothing once the job is "awarded" to you, they do not stand up for you, and will never say no to the client. Instead they play dumb and go, "I don't understand..." They also hoard all of the budget. They once accidentally sent a deck with the full budget outlined and I found out I was literally getting 15% of it to actually make the video. Their clients are unhinged and have unrealistic expectations, probably because they think they are putting 100k into a project but really they are only getting a 15k video back. Quickframe also expects their creators to literally come up with all of the creative, concepts, scripts, etc, none of which is properly compensated. They're essentially glorified middle men who do AB testing.
