Avantages
-50% discount -good relationships with colleagues, most of us get on really well -pay £6.44 per hour: it's better than minimum wage
Inconvénients
-really inflexible with regards to working hours: even if on a small contract employees are expected to be available to work any time, any day -no set shifts making it very hard to make any arrangements/plans for your life outside of work -rotas given at very short notice, sometimes less than a week -hard work went completely unrecognized while slackers also went without being reprimanded -manager was very unprofessional and bitched and gossipped about his staff to other members of staff -manager treated employees unfairly: favouritism was at play -manager told us HE wouldn't get HIS bonus if we didn't hit our targets in a bid to motivate US! (who needless to say benefit in no way from the store achieving target) -manager made false promises to several members of staff re: increasing their contract, promoting them to senior sales etc. in order to get them to do what he wanted for a short time then he'd tell them 'I can't increase your contract as I haven't got the budget to pay for more hours'; then he IMMEDIATELY employed new members of staff! These new members of staff each had a small contract, but they were hours he apparently couldn't afford nonetheless, and in addition he gave all the overtime to them, leaving existing employees with their bare minimum of hours
