Inconvénients
I've worked at this company for over 10 years. The pay is terrible. The raises are even worse. At one time, they had a raise freeze for 2 years. During the annual review, they still had expectations for improvement, but you still did not get a raise. After the freeze was removed, you'd think they would give you a decent increase. Nope, because they are actually giving a raise (so they call it), they criticized you even more to give you even less. The company did a management restructure. But it was more of who kissed the most a**es and who is sleeping with who. That determines who's moving up. After the restructure, the turnover rate was through the roof. Good employees left, and they couldn't keep new ones. Work-life balance. There isn't any. You'll be working 50-60 hours a week. Sometimes, weekends are mandatory. Most times, they are not, but if you turned it down, it's frowned upon on. And believe me, you'll receive the repercussion in one form or another. Moving up? They say the more you know, the better it is to get a raise or move up in the company. Not here. If you did not come into the company with a higher title, you're not moving up. Don't even think that learning new skills from another department is going to get you a bigger raise or take on a bigger position when it's available. They will give you a low ball offer to insult you, so you'll turn it down. Then, leave the opportunity up for a while and then close it, saying they couldn't find someone with enough qualifications. Then, I just eliminated it, and guess what? Since you volunteered so many times to help and learn the skill, you asked to help fill in when needed. You have been suckered. After 10+ years, I could go on and on but it'll be very long. So if it was so bad, why did I stay for so long? At one point it was a very small company and was good to work for. Everyone knows everyone. And everyone looked out for each other. Raises were good. There were yearly bonuses and company outings. In the summer time mangers would grill a few times for the employees. Just because. No special occasion. During my time there, the company went through two mergers. The work environment just gets worst after each merger. So STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
