Avantages

Learn a lot (if you're in the right role, try to get in vertical markets or specialization in a protocol) One of the best companies in the industry As an applications engineer, you get to wear many hats and get to work with most divisions across the company Applications is the best division to work in Travel to cool places internationally Safe. Don't think they've ever laid off outside of the fab Can easily work 35-40 hours a week Upper management knows what they're doing

Inconvénients

It's really hit or miss for which boss you have. Try to get a boss that's younger. I feel bad for saying this, but the older ones there are mainly because they've just been there for so long. Cubicle forest Depressing colors, little natural light Mediocre cafeteria food (It's monotonous) Not a lot of young people Promoted based on how long you've been there more than on merit Slow turnaround for projects, you'll be working on a product family for more than a year Not a ton of vacation. Start wtih 2 weeks. Average to below average pay Decades old technology

Avantages

There are a handful of people here who are fantastic to work with, are very knowledgeable, and care about the product that's going out the door.

Inconvénients

Leadership is fundamentally out of touch and appears indifferent to employee well-being. The culture is marred by nepotism and a lack of accountability, where 'guiding values' are preached but never practiced. Feedback is discouraged, and those who speak up are often targeted. Expect a 'reward' of more work for the same pay, as promotions are rare and promised bonuses are frequently withheld despite strong site performance. A very frustrating and toxic environment for those who value merit and transparency.
