Focus on HPI over MPI hurt the core company product and prevented proper research and development to stay at the top of the medical simulation space.
HPI hemorrhaged money and bleed the company dry, requiring more capital from the board and investors.
Because of poor performance and low profits, the company became a hostel environment. No one wanted to come to work and you could see dread in people as the continued to go through the motions.
After HPI all but failed, focus went back to MPI. Generic content became the focus and the team was constantly pressured to make the process faster, cheaper, but still maintain our established level of quality. This put a strain and stress on the team.
