Avantages

Benefits! Matrix is owned by AIG. The benefits are Great. An actual pension program! Lots of luncheons and potlucks.

Inconvénients

Very Political! You are not rewarded on actual merit but rather if you're liked.. Leads are assigned by management and they say it is on a random basis....but this is simply not true and was proven. If they don't like you, they will assign crappy leads to you which makes it an up hill battle and almost impossible to achieve the unrealistic monthly goal assigned to you...and if you don't make your goal you are written up, if this happens 3 times you are terminated....BUT if they like you, they give you good leads so you have nothing to worry about because it is super easy to make goal if not even exceed goal...and even if you are bad or are having an off month and they like you, they will allow you stay if you missed your production goals more than 3 times...it really just depends how brown your nose is and who's butt you sniff.

Avantages

If you have no soul and don’t mind making 300+ cold call a day; this might be a good fit for you.

Inconvénients

They are a part of AIG (America International Group). The sales team is a total boiler room experience. The start you selling Accidental Death Insurance that they market to people that are on SSI disability due to health conditions. People like HIV, Heart Failure, etc. (who has one leg in the coffin already due to health reasons). Most likely they will never use them and placing their limited money down in the drain. They will have you call 300+ calls a day and the successful are the people who does not question the management and just force the policies down to their throat. From my experience it is not difficult to sell as these people (customers) are on heavy medications already and they think they are getting a life insurance that will pay off their debts and final expenses. You will not do well if you have a conscience and feel this is garbage product for your customers. Their top reps mute the phone during the part when it says accidental insurance while reading the scripts. You even get in trouble if you spend too much time in the rest room as they time everything.
