Avantages
Working with students that genuinely need your help and guidance to grow, learn, and succeed- even if they don’t want it. The community is kind and supportive from owner to instructor to parent. I’ve never worked with a more hands on owner who try’s to be there for every student assessment or parent meeting. Despite them owning the center for almost 15 years, they are open to new ideas and thoughts from the younger staff- anything to improve students progress at the center or to recruit/invite in more families.
Inconvénients
The job is great for college students who need a job after classes, or for a retired person to get out of the house, or for anyone wanting to work with and educate kids in a learning environment. But it cannot be your full time job, which is a bummer if it’s something you want to do full time. All centers are only open once school lets out, which makes sense, but that only leaves so many hours in the day to operate. So it really is only a part time gig. Which is perfect for some people, a hassle for others.
