Avantages

Friendly peers. Unlimited PTO. Remote.

Inconvénients

Customer turnover is high with incoming customers low. Customer relationships are suffering due to reduced headcount. Wasted budget going to the wrong teams. Customer requests all over the place with no real plan for how these should be tackled. Reorganizations happening every 4 months to try to solve issues when the real issue is there just isn't enough individual contributors and there are too many managers.

Avantages

Empowering mission to help educators and administrators in K12. Strong, collaborative culture where everyone is working together to make a bigger impact for our customers. Every part of the company is growing which creates tremendous learning and career opportunities. Lots of transparent communication so we know exactly how we are doing and what the opportunities are.

Inconvénients

Rapid growth means a lot of change and constantly pushing yourself to learn and get better. Some people aren't wired that way. Totally remote/distributed work has lots of efficiency and lifestyle advantages, but it would be nice to have coffee or lunch with your colleagues more often.

Avantages

Absolutely nothing other than remote work

Inconvénients

Level Data does a great job marketing itself as a happy, people-first company. Unlimited PTO. Big culture talk. “We’re a family.” It all sounds great — and that’s exactly the problem. Behind the scenes, this company acquires smaller companies, removes the founders, and slowly pushes out the hardworking people who actually built the products that made those acquisitions worthwhile. They replace them with people from their own network (notably Wood Mackenzie), regardless of the impact on the original teams. Layoffs come with absolutely no warning, even after positive company messaging about growth, engagement, and career development. Performance, loyalty, and tenure do not protect you here. If you’re a founder who cares about your company and your people, think very carefully before merging. If you’re a job seeker looking for stability or integrity, don’t be distracted by perks and positivity. This company does not value people the way it claims to. You deserve better. Don’t waste your time.
