I have been an interpreter here for over 3 years and have yet to receive a raise. You have little motivation to perform to the best on your ability because compensation is not performance based, nor are there any incentives. When I asked for a wage increase, I was told that all interpreters are paid the same, and wages match other companies compensation. In the time I've worked here minimum wage has risen from $11 to $15/hour and my wages have stayed the same. It gives interpreters no reason to stay. Why would I get paid the same amount as someone who has no skills and works at Chick-fil-A? It's a joke that interpreters, as important as they want us to feel, get compensated the same as high school fast food workers!
