Avantages
The major things that have kept me working at Labcorp are -you are trained on how to do things and don't need to come in already knowing how everything works -my coworkers are wonderful -the 4 day work week is incredible -my manager is very good about listening to us when we have issues and working to get a solution for those issues -I feel that my supervisor sees my value as a hardworking employee
Inconvénients
The major downsides to Labcorp that I have noticed are -Employees are not compensated at a higher rate when they take on new and more difficult tasks such as training new employees. More responsibility should always mean more pay! -Some departments have no clear career path and therefore people see it simply as a job so there is high turnover -Time off for a holiday or alternative day is capped at 8 hours so anybody who works 10 hour shifts has to come in for 2 extra hours during the week or use 2 hours of their PLB which they earn at the same rate as someone who works 8 hour shifts. It is completely unjust and unfair and should have been changed ages ago. -There is very little flexibility for schedule which can make things extremely difficult for parents. -The raise that comes with a promotion is MUCH too small and we are not able to negotiate or advocate for ourselves to get a higher raise. -Workday is a terrible system and has taken away the ability for management do give out incentive pay for doing extra overtime on top of the mandatory overtime. -The overall pay here is significantly less than the pay one would get for a comparable position at another company.
