Avantages

Infinisource has no doubt gone through transition and growing pains, but wow- have we turned the corner, and the company is definitely on the rise. The leadership team has instituted a stronger culture of employee engagement and clearly invests in people as our strongest asset. Our executive leadership team is engaging and clearly making hard but positive choices for our growing company. Our customers come first and service levels have made dramatic improvements within the last 12 months. We truly strive to make a differrence for our customers by providing them with an application that makes their lives easier - and teams are working together to make this happen. While no company is perfect, it is exciting to be part of something where the vision is clear and most of us feel like we're making a valuable contribution to that end. I personally have grown in the role that I'm in (for almost 2 years now) and have enjoyed watching others grasp opportunities within the company to promote their own career growth as well.

Inconvénients

We continue to "standardize" processes between the 3 locations - and while we're in a much better place, it does take time to normalize the culture across 3 distinct geographical locations.

Avantages

Ability to wear many hats and take training courses at regarding procurement at client site FDA OAGs. Friendly work environment at client site. Laid back atmosphere. For the most part, the federal employees that you will work with are very friendly and willing to help. A good place to get your security clearance (public trust) which will open one up to employment opportunities.

Inconvénients

Slow work days. Your used on an as needed basis and there isn't really a consistent workflow that keeps one occupied. I was hired as a procurement assistant, but I haven't purchased anything or aided with government purchases in any way since I have been hired. My current role is to aid CORs with their certification/recertification and to help set up for in-office and hosted training at our facility. I also assist the system support team with workarounds for system errors that help contract specialists (federal employees) purchase goods and services in a timely manner. So really I'm not building any skills that are marketable with other industries. There is a high probability that you will be silo'd into a role that is really not time consuming.
