Avantages
I got the opportunity to work with and learn with some amazing BE engineers.
Lunch benefits were good.
Inconvénients
As someone else mentioned, the owner is highly opinionated and also completely unresponsive and disconnected from the company.
The owner hires his friends to leadership positions despite the complete absence of qualifications. The Chief of Product had never led a product organization. The CEO had some leadership experience but time after time failed to act as a leader.
The company has now been through *three* iterations. The problem with this company was, and always will be, the owner. In every iteration, he installs his poorly-qualified yes-men in leadership positions, and then throws an absolute fit when those leaders can't lead and can't read his mind.
They will run you into the ground but hey, we got those lunch bennies.
The women's bathroom ceiling collapsed and it took months to repair.
The CEO, CTO, Chief of Product, and others all vaped inside the office despite a pregnant/nursing employee pointing out that it was illegal for them to do so and harmful to her and her baby. Why she didn't report them, I'll never know. Eventually they moved to a separate open-office room and put in a small air purifier instead of quitting.
