It can also be devastating to an incredible company when that founder owns 51% of the voting shares and is not accountable to anyone for a failure to execute. He should remain as a visionary Chief of Product / Marketing - but he needs a real CEO and COO to fix the systemic churn and failure to execute that sits squarely at his feet.
