Avantages
All the excitement and variety of a deal-oriented business but with a conservative, fee-based business model so the company is consistently profitable. Junior employees are given great freedom, responsibility and opportunities and can progress quickly or at their own pace. We like the excitement of trade receivables transaction but work hard to keep the workplace free from unnecessary drama. Everyone here is nice and friendly and helpful and wants everyone else here to succeed. Finacity has a no finger-pointing culture. We recognize that everyone makes mistakes and encourage people to speak up about problems they see so we can fix them, without anyone feeling bad if they feel responsible for the situation. I've worked for and with many businesses, and I've never seen a place like this where people are comfortable announcing to the entire company that they made a mistake. We just want to fix problems, so we thank them for bringing it up and just get to solving it rather than making them feel bad like so many other companies do. High deductible health insurance, but Finacity pays for the entire deductible through an HSA. I don't know any other company that does this.
Inconvénients
Small companies aren't for everyone. Work varies with deal flow -- some times are very busy and other times can be slow. Slower times are opportunities to learn, organize, backfill, and clean up, but can be less exciting.
