Avantages

Honestly, the people there can be great, wprk invorment was semi relaxed, and has divesity. Has someone who has a degree, I had no experience other than what I learned in school. Basically this place is a great stepping stone to advance in your career path.

Inconvénients

Well, this place ia by far the worse place, anyone with a degree could work for. When I got hired, H.R. said that after my 90 days they would give me a bump in pay. They failed to do so, when asked about it H.R. reaponded with "well that is not how we operate and it is not in the contract." They also said that there is room to grow, and that there plenty of money to be made in the elevator industry. Towards the end of my employment there I found out that it was all a lie. There is no room to grow, if they do move you to another department it will take a year or more to move you. In some cases more than 2 years. I was asked to go to tech support 9 months before I left, through all the confusion and frustration I kept pushing the issue. When ever I asked about the move all I got was a lack of communication between the upper management and my leads. Due to the lack of commitment that I was promised i left. Then comes the pay, I took this job because I needed experience and I didnt mind the pay due to other income. However, someone in the electronics field we know for Sacramento an entry level position pays around 18 to 21 an hour. This place 13 an hour, if you have over 5 years experience 14 an hour. Come to find out other departments starting out make 14 and 15 an hour that does not require a degree. This company makes millions of dollars but does nothing for their employees. While the upper management is making money, they do the bare minimum in terms of benifits, raises, and keep employees happy.

Avantages

Always work to do. OT offered during peak season.

Inconvénients

Not a lot of opportunities to move up. Still operated in warehouse during fire season and smoke was filling up the building.

Avantages

Elevator Controls will bring on entry level staff and give them an opportunity to grow into the role. Individuals with sales backgrounds and or account management experience are a value to this organization.

Inconvénients

Elevator Controls is notorious for cheap components, drives and motors. Price and not quality drive this organization. This is an attitude that starts at the top and infected the entire company. Product support is inconsistent at best. Major flaws in the h900/v900 product line. Not a forward thinking, proactive company but a reactive one. In a day and age where customers have so many options, they have not adapted to this concept. Upper management has chosen to outsource the day to day management of the sales staff to an outfit in the Pacific Northwest. ...This individual plays sales staff against one another and has individual conversations asking individuals if they thought they could do a better job in a particular territory than sales agent B, as an example. "Do you think I should fire sales agent B"? The names of the staff change but this third party management system has remained in place for some time. I was never sure what the "value add" was for this sales management team who also has the role of marketing as well. ....inconsistent email blasts that may not be specific to a region. I can go on but I hope that the picture is becoming a little clearer. If you receive a commission check, it will be added to your base pay instead of being processed separately and taxed accordingly, this is as a result of the staff accountant deciding that the software program was to hard to learn so she was going to process it her way with the blessing of upper management.
