Avantages
Good for a temporary compensation bump, as salary review process is so complicated it’s a mirage. Work life balance is ok, as there is rarely anyone demanding anything.
Inconvénients
EPAM: Everybody makes mistakes. Mine was I gave it a chance for two years. Stay away if you’re not desperate. No values, no culture, no community, no career path, no management, toxic environment. If you’re lucky, you might get a nice project, which is fine as long as you’re on it. Oh, yeah, and they have English TEACHERS! In an international company, who btw are really into it, acting like bloodhounds, chasing you for a regular English assessment every two years. Failure to comply is a subject for termination… 😂 Switching to another position (no matter horizontally or vertically) or location is basically impossible, as it requires multiple levels of reviews and assessments, feedbacks, skills and motivation presentations, practically a lot more complex than applying as an external candidate.
