Employment with CHS - Avis employé Healthcare Support Worker Community Health Systems

Our local community hospital was broken between staff being treated with such animus and abusive upper management. A culture of fear, mistrust and lack of transparency pervaded each day. Trying to cut costs with having emergency communications managed by offsite was dangerous at best. One morning we all appeared to work to be told we no longer had jobs and no longer had a hospital. Our hospital was cannabilized of equipment and assets, converted to a behavioral health hospital and sold off to the competing local hospital. Our local community continues to be affected to this day.
