The field we work in is tough, the people we work with struggle with complex issues in their lives, but staff here are fantastic, work really hard and do a great job at helping individuals with drug, alcohol and mental health problems every day. The culture of this charity is second to none. I've worked in the private and public sectors and I find the environment at Addaction by far the best. I feel supported and am constantly challenged (in a good way) and helped to develop in my role. The new Chief Exec is fab and is really making a difference to how we work. He's taking the issues affecting the people we work with direct to the Government, seeking change.
