Avantages
The company starts its cashiers off at around $10.80 per hour - which is unheard of for the grocery industry! The store managers never ask the cashiers or assistant managers to do anything THEY wouldn't do. The workload is pretty evenly distributed. If you don't get a raise, you at least get a bonus check that is based on the number of hours you've worked that year. A weeks worth of vacation after only 90 days of employment Outstanding health insurance
Inconvénients
Stressful because of the lack of manpower. Very few chances for advancement due to the lack of expansion. Don't allow managers to have ANY restrictions in their schedule (cannot attend school) High turn-over of district managers, therefore you never really get to show your enthusiasm or skill to the same person for more than 8 months. Lots of pressure to meet productivity Only 2-3 people working in the store at the same time, so lots of things need to be done with little help Refuse to fire people who need to be fired My supervisor has a MASTERS degree, yet he cannot obtain a DM position because they refuse to promote from within. He works 50-70 hours per week.
