Toxic culture - If higher up management do not like you, they will be extremely unprofessional with you and offer no support and talk about you with other managers. Hiring part time staff from college and expecting them to be constantly available to work, when this isn't the case due to academic commitments, then taking out this frustration on them because other staff are overworked.
