Opportunities may be there but be prepared to work overtime for them. Some programs require 45+hrs per week already, which you get little recognition for. It is best to find a program where you are slightly underworked and have the opportunity to take on extra projects. If you wind up on a busy program you will get no more credit than the next guy, but you are still expected to do all of the extras.
