Avantages

People are okay, some are heavy into the corporate Kool-aid. Wfh. Decent benefits.

Inconvénients

Low base, low bonus. The vast majority of people calling in are not willing or able to buy. You’re expected to take someone from pissed off about their products to opening their wallet. Punitive time constraints. Expected to meet a 96% availability metric, and 1 minute and 1 second is rounded to 2 minutes off the phone. They’ll force you to use your time off balances if your internet or power goes down. God forbid you have to run to the bathroom, and if you do, don’t expect to be paid a bonus that month. Turnover here is a whopping 60%, that should speak for itself. It became abundantly clear very quickly that the goal is not to maximize customer experiences. The one and only goal that this company has is to sell their customers as much as they possibly can, regardless of benefit to the customer. Supervisors will hang you out to dry, Level 2 Support is horribly understaffed so you’ll wait 30 minutes or more for help. Don’t expect to be able to hang up on a customer either, regardless of how abusive they are. They will tell you in training, one of the only ways to get fired is to hang up on a customer. They’ll promise you opportunities to move within the company, but those days are long gone. All of the spiels from management and trainers are smoke and mirrors. Overall, heed the warnings from the rest of the reviews here. Take them seriously, I wish I would have.

Avantages

I am able to be my best self in the environment I work in. I am encouraged to ask questions and come up with solutions to problems - often the identification of a problem doesn't have a clearly prescribed solution - My leadership allows me to be proactive and come up with more ideal solutions than 'just what works'.

Inconvénients

This is a large company, and mileage may vary. Bringing your best self should be a requirement for all positions in all companies.

Avantages

Pros of working at GoDaddy in the beginning (now long gone as of mid-2024): Good pay and solid benefits that made me feel taken care of Fun, caring culture where I actually felt valued by the company Friendly US-based teams and supportive managers who had my back Easy tools and happy customers that made my job way less stressful All those values that made GoDaddy a great place to work have been completely wiped out by corporate greed, heavy outsourcing, and a total lack of consideration for the employees who were actually making them money.

Cons of working at GoDaddy as of mid-2024 (what replaced the old good stuff): Low pay with shrinking benefits and commissions that make you feel undervalued and stressed Toxic, fear-based culture driven by corporate greed where employees are treated like disposable costs Heavy outsourcing to cheap overseas teams with unsupportive managers who throw you under the bus Angry, frustrated customers and broken tools that make every day exhausting and way more stressful All those old values that made GoDaddy a great place to work have been completely wiped out by corporate greed, heavy outsourcing, and a total lack of consideration for the employees who are actually making them money
