Avantages
- good engineering mindset thanks to the few remaining seniors - good place to gain 2-3 years of experience as a junior, and then leave
Inconvénients
- compensation is way below market - there is no bonus for developers, and equity is close to zero - there is a clear company strategy to hire as low as possible (they even ask for your previous salary to know how low they can get, and they don't hesitate to offer you less than that) - the company lets you think that your salary can increase quickly thanks to the yearly reviews but it's wrong. Increases are small, and the review process is a complete blackbox - they can't manage to keep their team leads and seniors, so the place is becoming a junior factory - positions remain open for a year before being filled due to the bad compensation - the only ones managing to get a good compensation are 2-3 "rockstar" developers who managed to develop enough leverage that the company is afraid to loose them (they even opened an additional office to keep one that was threatening to leave)
