- It’s a big machine with a high turnover. You might feel replaceable. Generally it feels like quantity is valued over quality (projects/people)
- Salaries are still relatively low for such a money-making firm
- We don’t hear much about the larger vision of the founders
- If you’re autonomous and proactive + know where to put your professional boundaries, you can thrive and grow. If you struggle with that you might feel thrown under the bus and left with little guidance and tons of work.
- I think it got way better over the years and it’s an industry-wide problem but the workload is very heavy, deadlines are frequent, projects are often understaffed and therefore overtime is very common.
Also MVRDV’s architecture is sometimes too gimmicky but to each their own
